It is fascinating how similar yet diverse threads emerged. Some shared of how they experimented with letting go off domestic tasks to create time for self care and personal growth and how their families responded to this with a mix of cooperation and judgement. It has also opened up the Pandora's box of stereotypically defined gender roles and the induced conditioned beliefs that women mistake to be theirs. Some themes that emerged were disproportionate sharing of domestic responsibilities, blurred work life boundaries and an identity crisis of what it means to be a women. The stories corroborate with the data - The Pandemic has impacted the women deeply and much more so than men. The quiet holding of space and the vigorous head nods when someone shared their story co-existed with seamless dialogue when each one of us added insights to the current narratives that hold us back. ![]() Peeling the layers of the impact of the pandemic on women and the their lives was the point of exploration.
